Position Summary:
The Martin Institute and Program in International Studies, and the Idaho Society of Fellows, are now accepting applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in International Cooperation (disciplinary specialization open) to begin July 1, 2024. Fellows will pursue their own research and teach one course per semester.
The unit is particularly interested in recruiting candidates whose work complements existing unit initiatives in area studies, the environment, global sport, international organizations, conflict/peace, and/or human rights.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in International Studies, Political Science, Criminology, or other appropriate field (e.g., in or closely related to a field housed in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences) required by start of the position.
  • Expertise in International Cooperation.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise on international cooperation on crime prevention/criminal justice/jurisprudence, though a focus on development, food systems, health, financing, peacebuilding, or other topics will also be welcome;



  • Ability to address current tensions in the regions is desirable;

  • Experience teaching and mentoring students from diverse cultural backgrounds;

  • Experience and commitment to working with people holding similar or different worldviews while advocating for inclusion of all people.
