Electronic Resources Librarian

Primary Purpose of Position:
The Electronic Resources Librarian manages the Library's electronic resources and ensures optimal and accurate access to subscription resources, including databases, electronic journals, and e-books. The Electronic Resources Librarian supports the development and assessment of new methods of subscription and resources acquisition and strives to increase available resources for the North Carolina Central University community. Supports the development and integration of library systems and technologies. Responsibilities of the position evolves as the library environment continues to change.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Masters degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited program. Knowledge of trends and practices in electronic resource management,. Minimum of two years of related job experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of integrated library systems
Strong commitment to customer service excellence
Knowledge of current issues in acquiring, licensing, and managing access to electronic access to electronic resources.
Good technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong ability to work with internal and external constituents and organizations
