Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required. Must possess excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with diverse populations. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, make sound independent decisions, and demonstrate creativity and initiative is essential. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must demonstrate respect for others in the workplace and a commitment to creating a supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Must always represent the University in a professional manner as well as have the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Teach the sport of softball to student-athletes individually and as a team at the NCAA Division II varsity level.
Provide overall leadership, organization, and management of the NCAA Division II women's softball program.
Recruit, retain, and mentor academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in accordance with university, conference, and NCAA guidelines.
Plan, organize, and implement effective practice sessions, training activities, and competition strategies that support the development and success of the team.
Educate student-athletes on NCAA, conference, and University rules, regulations, policies, and expectations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Complete the NCAA Recruiting Certification Exam on an annual basis.
Comply with all University, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), and NCAA Division II rules and regulations, including NCAA Bylaw 10.1 regarding Ethical Conduct.
Promote and foster a supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Director of Athletics and/or the VP of Student Affairs.
Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Friday: The incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours to meet the needs of the department and/or the university. Travel will be required.
