Job Summary


The Temporary Researcher will work with data from the MINERVA survey. Science projects that examine the relationship between environment, galaxy morphology, and star formation rates are particularly encouraged. Previous expertise working with large survey data, JWST, and galaxy environments is strongly preferred.

Who We Are


The Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy (CASA) is dedicated to advancing our understanding of the Universe in which we live through observations and theory. Founded in 1985, CASA is an affiliated unit within the structure of the Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (APS) Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder.


What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Attend regular research group meetings.
  • Attend relevant MINERVA team meetings.
  • Analyze the relationship between galaxy environment, morphology, and star formation rate.

The hiring rate for this position is $34.83/hour.

What We Require


Applicants must have a PhD in astronomy or a closely related field at the start of this position.
