Job Summary
Kutztown University is seeking two Residence Coordinators to support the day-to-day operations of on-campus residence halls and contribute to a vibrant, safe, and supportive residential experience for students. Residence Coordinators are full-time, live-in professional staff members within the Office of Residence Life, Housing, and Dining Services, part of the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs.
Each Residence Coordinator oversees the daily management of a residence hall, providing leadership and supervision to student staff members, including Resident Directors and Resident Assistants. Key responsibilities include advising Hall Council, supporting student programming initiatives, and administering an educational conduct process for residents and student staff. Residence Coordinators play a critical role in fostering inclusive communities, promoting student development, and supporting institutional goals related to engagement, learning, and retention.
Residence Coordinators are responsible for facility oversight within their assigned area, including maintenance coordination, damage assessment, inventory and key control, and coordinating hall openings and closings. They also participate in housing processes and campus-wide initiatives, and collaborate regularly with campus partners such as Public Safety, Police Services, Facilities, and custodial staff.
As live-in professionals, Residence Coordinators maintain evening and weekend duty responsibilities and respond to student needs, incidents, and emergencies. Supervision of Resident Directors includes regular mentoring, oversight of hall operations, support of graduate-level academic progress, and guidance in areas such as community development, programming, crisis response, and assessment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Experience working in a college or university residence life and housing setting
- Commitment to and knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Skills in crisis intervention, and policy enforcement
- Experience serving in an on-duty rotation
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize among competing needs
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in advising a student group

The starting salary for this position is $40,029.00, based on the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 10-month SCUPA union position with two months off over the summer break.
This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
