Job Summary


The Assistant Director, Office of Student Affairs: Fraternity/Sorority Life, Annual Traditions/Events and Alumni Engagement is a full-time, 12-month, SCUPA position and reports to the Senior Director of Student Involvement Services and the MSU. The Assistant Director has major responsibilities in three main areas within Office of Student Involvement, specifically Fraternity/Sorority Life, annual traditions/events programming and alumni engagement. The Assistant Director is responsible for actively cultivating good working relationships and demonstrating excellent customer service skills within the University community and with external communities.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Master'sdegreeinStudentAffairsorrelatedareas
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience supporting, guiding, mentoring and developing students and student organizations on a college campus.
  • Direct experience with planning and executing activities on a college campus for varying group sizes
  • Direct experience with student staff training and development
  • Demonstrated understanding of the value of alumni relationships
  • Direct experience with oversight and/or management of a Fraternity and/or Sorority community
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Cultural competency as it relates to working with diverse populations.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Proficiency with a student engagement platform such as Engage, Suitable, Lounge, Modern Campus, etc.
  • Working knowledge of assessment, statistical analysis, database management, and web development.
  • Experience working with the parent/family population on a college campus.
  • Fluency in Spanish at a native speaker level.

The starting salary for this position is $54.983.00, based on the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
