Description
The Department of Neuroscience at the College of the Holy Cross, to be inaugurated in fall 2026, invites applications for a two-year visiting full-time faculty position for the 2026-2028 academic years to begin in August 2026. The successful candidate must be able to teach an intermediate Neurobiology Lecture course (BIOL 269), an intermediate Neurobiology Lab course, (BIOL 270), and courses for the Neuroscience Major and Minor, such as Introduction to Neuroscience (NEUR 110). There may also be opportunities to develop new courses in the candidate's specialty area and/or to teach courses that support the department's curricular partnerships with biology and psychology. We seek candidates who can contribute to the goals of the neuroscience curriculum and the advancement of current departmental priorities to incorporate critical/decolonial perspectives and neuroinformatics/computing approaches throughout the curriculum. Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through the Provost's Supplemental Research Fund. The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. The College offers full benefits and a salary of $70,000.
The College will not support H-1B visa applications that require the $100,000 employer fee.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
