Job Summary
The Automated Retrieval Center Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the accurate movement of materials into and out of the Automated Retrieval Center (ARC), a high-density robotic storage facility within the J. Willard Marriott Library that houses more than 1.5 million items. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for ARC operations and will work collaboratively with library departments on material transfers and special projects. We are seeking a problem solver who can work with colleagues to ensure that resources are accessible, fulfill requests, and support library inventory initiatives.

This position is required to work on campus full-time. Telecommuting will only be authorized for occasional/exceptional circumstances.

Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary contact for ARC operations and is responsible for storing materials, completing inventory, reconciling loans and requests, and coordinating the intake of new collections.
- Leads a variety of projects within the ARC and general collections, including audits and inventory control.
- Serves as the first backup for coverage in the ARC as necessary. Guides part-timers and assists part-time employees with troubleshooting.
- Works within the Integrated Library System and the ARC EMS software to identify request and inventory problems and reconcile discrepancies. Generates reports and analyses in Alma Analytics and performs catalog record maintenance.
- Working closely with the Building Services team to provide backup on a variety of projects throughout the Marriott Library.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years library experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); knowledge of specialized library techniques and principles as well as research and organizational skills required; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required. Some supervisory experience may be preferred.

Preferences
Preferred experience working with an Integrated Library System. Attention to detail is required. This position must be able to work independently, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and learn new technologies. Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate with a varied group of people in person, on the phone, and via email. Ability to push a loaded book truck and flatbed and lift up to 50 pounds.
