The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking to recruit a clinical hematologist with an interest in adult community hematology. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Division of Hematology comprises thirty-one clinical hematologists representing a wide range of subspecialty expertise and actively engaged in clinical, translational, and basic research. Faculty members are internationally recognized as both clinicians and clinician-scientists. In response to continued growth of the division's clinical programs, the successful candidate's clinical responsibilities will focus primarily on classical hematology, as well as malignant hematology, with an emphasis on lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes. Clinical care will be delivered predominantly in the outpatient setting at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at Vinyard, Utah.
The division partners with the Division of Oncology within the Department of Internal Medicine to offer a combined fellowship program that consistently attracts outstanding trainees. Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Intermountain West. Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO degree (or equivalent degree) with board certification in Internal Medicine and board certified or board eligible in Hematology; possessing or being eligible for a Utah Medical License; with initiative, curiosity and a dedication to a career in academia.
