Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Application Development, the IT Applications and Integration Specialist serves as the primary technical administrator and subject matter expert for the Team Dynamix (TDX) and other third-party platforms. This position is an on-site position located in downtown, Albany, New York.

Team Dynamix supports the IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), and Enterprise Service Management (ESM) initiatives. This position is responsible for configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and continuously improving the Team Dynamix ecosystem to enhance service delivery across the enterprise.

The selected candidate will possess critical thinking skills to assess situations and information effectively when problem-solving. It is essential that the IT Applications and Integration Specialist selected be adaptable and capable of working within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment to succeed in this role. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role manages day-to-day platform administration for TDX and other third-party systems, including user management, security roles, permissions, service catalogs, forms, workflows, and automation rules.
Designs and implements custom applications, workspaces, and dashboards to meet departmental requirements.
Performs regular system maintenance, updates, and supports patches in coordination with vendor release schedules while monitoring system performance and managing integrations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement ITIL-aligned service management processes encompassing incident, request, change, problem, and knowledge management workflows.
Creates and optimizes project templates, resource pools, and portfolio management structures while building and analyzing service metrics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
Provides comprehensive training and support to TDX users across the enterprise through sessions, training materials, user guides, and knowledge base articles while serving as tier 2/3 support for complex platform issues.
Partners with ITS leadership and end users to understand business requirements, facilitate requirements gathering sessions, and translate needs into technical solutions.
Participates in designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing a TDX Conversational AI chatbot to enhance self-service, automate service requests, and improve the end-user support experience.
Participates in IT governance committees and coordinates with the TDX vendor for support, feature requests, and roadmap planning while building relationships with peer institutions to share best practices.
Serve as the point of contact for RF web services with the campus users and SUNY System administration.
Responsible for RF web services error resolution by working in conjunction with the Business analysts.
Monitor the Oracle Enterprise Management (OEM) tool to review the status of the inbound/outbound web services and take appropriate action as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business information systems, or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two years of experience with ITSM system administration, preferably TDX.
Knowledge and experience in requirement gathering and use case analysis.
Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate the solution in non-technical terminology to various audiences.
Ability to interact and work with staff at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to project professionalism over the phone, video, and in person.
Commitment to always providing superior customer service.
A willingness to take initiative and continuously learn about new features and technologies in an ever-changing industry.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Thorough knowledge of Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).

Preferred Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Completion of TDX Foundations Module or completion of vendor-provided TDX training
Experience in TDX Integration Platform as a Service (TDX iPaaS)
ITIL Foundation certification or higher
Experience in IT system administration in higher education
Experience with change management and technology adoption strategies
Experience with workflow design
Knowledge of higher education business processes and academic technology environments
Customer service orientation with patience for supporting users at various technical skill levels
Knowledge of third-party systems, like Jaggaer eProcurement
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API's)
Familiarity with integration methods, including iPaaS, webhooks, and web services
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across departments and stakeholder groups

Additional Information:

Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is between $61,782 - 71,891. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
