Job Description:
What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Stockroom Associate to support the daily operations of the Baylor Sciences Building stockroom, providing safe, efficient, and compliant support for teaching and research activities across the sciences. The role is responsible for chemical and materials inventory, purchasing, receiving, and dispensing, while ensuring compliance with university and regulatory safety standards.

A high school diploma and less than one year of relevant work experience are required. An Associate's degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Support daily operations of the stockroom, including loading dock logistics and staff-customer interactions at the stockroom window
  • Support receiving and distribution of all packages delivered to the Baylor Sciences Building, including maintenance of records as assigned for tracking and auditing purposes
  • Provide customer service at the stockroom window, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional support for faculty, staff, and students
  • Provide dispensing of bulk chemical solvents, dry ice, liquid nitrogen and chemical stores and related billing reports to recover supply costs provided to departments
  • Support stockroom inventory used across science departments in the Baylor Sciences Building
  • Maintain accurate digital records for chemical receiving, logging, storage, and disposal
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained through record keeping, internal audits, ordering, and purchase requests
  • Support intake of received chemicals, including update of the campus inventory system
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
