Job Summary

Research Administration's post-award provides comprehensive administrative oversight of Sponsored funds awarded to Huntsman Cancer Institute's Principal Investigators. We work collaboratively with each PI's home department, HCI's administrative groups, and serve as liaison to the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), Grants & Contracts Accounting (GCA), and other campus entities as necessary. The work is detailed, interesting, and always changing - the perfect environment for an individual experienced in post-award support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (or a related field), or eight years of work experience in administration, accounting and/or general office supervision.
  • Three to five years' experience overseeing complex grants; NIH experience is preferred.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite

    Responsibilities
    Post-award team members perform accurate grant accounting, assist with timely submission of progress and final reporting to Sponsors, calculate effort, monitor subcontracts, resolve complex issues, assist with ensuring lab financial health, and work with OSP and GCA to meet institutional requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Master's Degree + two years of related experience or Bachelor's degree + six years of related experience or 14 years of related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for one years of related work experience).

    Preferences
    Experience with University of Utah systems, including Management Reports, ePR, UShop and eAward. Experience managing NIH or other Federal funding is required.
