(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Leads the development and administration of procurement training for new hires or existing Procurement team members. Creates and manages solicitations as assigned to support the mission of the department. Participates in the planning and implementation of required business processes. Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Develops, maintains, and organizes internal and external training program and instructional materials for Procurement, to include job aids, manuals, and videos
2. Assists with all orientation, access, and initial training needs for new procurement staff
3. Delivers skills, procedural, and non-procedural training sessions to ensure employees are well trained and completed training is documented
4. Reviews university, State, and USG procurement changes and communicates to procurement team
5. Documents system processes, functionality and recommends improvements as applicable
6. Identifies training and development opportunities within the procurement team at the direction of procurement leadership
7. Manages the Contract Assessment Report (CAR) process with end-users and suppliers to ensure that supply market trends, supplier performance and KSU business needs are aligned
8. Assists in resolving billing discrepancies associated with open purchase orders to ensure prompt purchase order close out
9. Coordinates the resolution of purchase order payment issues with Accounts Payable, as needed
10. Acts as the Procurement Officer for assigned solicitation, requisitions, or work request ticket processing as needed
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Business or Humanities or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Required Experience
Three (3) years of work experience in procurement, acquisition, contracting or related area, with some training and development experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
One or more of the following certifications:
Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate (GCPA) or ability to obtain within nine (9) months of hire
Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager (GCPM)
Certified Professional Procurement Officer (CPPO)
Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate (GCPA); Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB)
Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)
Working Knowledge of PeopleSoft (Oracle)
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Business or Humanities
Preferred Experience
Experience with online training technology
Previous experience in supply chain, materials management, purchasing, or paralegal contract administration
Prior experience in an academic environment and/or procurement Financials 9.2 is a plus
Experience with online training technology
Proposed Salary
