The Physician Assistant Program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Ranked Professor - Clinical Coordinatorposition on a 12-month rolling contract.

The Clinical Coordinator plans and coordinates the clinical practicum components of the program, including student clerkship placements, clinical examinations, assessment of student progress throughout the professional (clinical) phase, and evaluation of clinical instruction. This person will work collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Education and Academic Coordinator, facilitating the collection of data from the clinical tracking tool, preceptor evaluations and academic performance and its analysis to inform and respond to curricular decisions in both the didactic and clinical phase of the program. Also, is responsible for the development and maintenance of clinical site affiliations and will be a primary liaison with the medical community. This may include attending meetings and events with clinical partners and the collection and analysis of data as it relates to evaluating site and preceptor performance, and incentivization and reimbursement programs for clinical sites and preceptors.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Teaching in areas of expertise and participating in skills instruction, student evaluation, advising, and remediation are also expected.
  • Advise a group of student advisees in their academic and professional progression in the clinical phase. This requires oversight of course performance, student advising sessions, remediation of students as necessary and identification and referral for areas of needed student support
  • Participate in student admission and selection processes, student advising for research, masters, and clinical quality improvement projects.
  • The Clinical Coordinator will participate in the development and review of clinical phase curriculum components as it aligns with the NCCPA blueprint and as a continuation of the didactic phase curriculum. This includes development of assignments, exams, simulations and competency based assessment tools. This also includes collection and analysis of data as it relates to site specific decisions, student progression decisions, and policy decisions. This faculty position will participate in the ongoing assessment of the clinical phase curriculum and program goals in alignment with accreditation standards.
  • Participant in activities that may contribute to activities or programs of a variety of stakeholders, such as the Program/Department, School, College, University, or professional organizations in state/regional/community settings, or national/international settings.
  • Participate in professional activities that help strengthen practice-oriented instruction.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's or Terminal Degree in any health related field
  • If applicable, a license/certification in their field of practice
  • Two years of experience in their field of practice
  • Comfort and familiarity with a range of software programs, including Google and Microsoft products, SmartSheet or similar systems like Salesforce





Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an academic setting, teaching, or the coordination of graduate-level health care students is strongly preferred.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is $84,000 - $88,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting.
