Overview
Position oversees a scheduled on campus lab experience for the diagnostic medical sonography program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in on-campus laboratory activities structured and open labs.
- Meets regular with program officials to maintain current documentation of student's clinical progress, coordinate, and maintain student lab records.
- Interact with program students with a positive and professional attitude to resolve issues.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with program policy and all applicable laws.
- Participates in continuing education to improve evaluation skills and maintain professional competency in the practice of diagnostic medical sonography.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to interact with diverse populations.
Education & Experience:
- Associate Degree in DMS or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Two (2) years of applicable work experience within the field of diagnostic medical sonography.
- Must have the appropriate credential in the concentration(s) for which they evaluate student performance and document required lab competencies. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS - OB/GYN, AB, VT), Cardiocvascular Credentialing International (CCI -RVS), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT- S, VS).
