The Alumni Medical Library at Boston University seeks a collaborative professional to serve as Electronic Resources Librarian. The Alumni Medical Library serves the faculty, staff and students of the Boston University Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Public Health. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Library Services, the Electronic Resources Librarian will have broad responsibilities in collections management, including assessment, record keeping and promotion. This position works closely with access services, resource sharing and education services. Job duties include: *Utilizes Ex Libris software including Alma Analytics, Primo, and Leganto to integrate and analyze vendor records, usage statistics, library reserves and other business and discovery functions. Demonstrates advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills, Ensures implementation of package and title changes. Recommends and implements improvements to existing electronic resource workflow, policies, and documentation. *Collects, maintains and maintain usage statistics. Creates data visualization of usage statistics. Maintains expert knowledge of tools and standards such as COUNTER and SUSHI. *Works with business manager to reconcile invoices and track payments. Maintains expenditure spreadsheets. Ensures licenses meet university and industry standards. *Collaborates with education and information services, resource sharing, business management and access services on issues related to the entire lifecycle of electronic resources. Coordinates resource education and promotion with vendors, consortia and other library staff, including at other BU libraries. Works with IT and technical services librarian to troubleshoot patron access to electronic resources. *Contributes to profession of academic health sciences librarianship and resource management, through professional service and publications. *Provides back-up to access services and resource sharing.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in library science or related field with 3-5 years of related experience. The degree requirement may be waived with significant experience. Advanced knowledge of advanced knowledge with Ex Libris software including Alma Analytics, Primo, and Leganto is strongly preferred. The successful candidate is a detail orientated, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, diverse team environment. This position is eligible for up to 4 days of remote work per week, dependent on performance and responsibilities. Please submit a cover letter and CV/resume with application.
