Job SummaryReporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Director of Donor Relations will continue to enhance and manage a cohesive and centralized stewardship program that contributes to the strategic goals of the College and relationships with its top donors. Annual financial and impact reporting, based on the type and size of the gift or commitment as outlined in current stewardship protocols, will focus on gifts to the College at or over $100,000. In partnership with the Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Director will maintain a comprehensive calendar of stewardship projects and reports and ensure these reports are produced in a timely manner, including collecting information from faculty, staff, or other principals; partnering with graphic arts to redesign and print; and working with Advancement Services to modify templates and/or reports as needed. Primary to this role is ensuring that the donor remains apprised of the positive impact that their gift has at Holy Cross, intended to increase the possibility of subsequent, significant gifts. This position will also serve as primary liaison between the Office of Advancement and the Office of Financial Aid to monitor, report out and communicate with recipients of scholarships supported by primary donors, while actively encouraging student engagement. The Assistant Director will work with the Office of Finance to obtain and confirm year-end endowment numbers and attain updated monthly figures. Strong proofing and editing skills are essential. Lastly, this position will support the Director of Donor Relations with donor recognition, including plaques, trees and benches, and an inventory of named spaces and opportunities. Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Oversee annual fall financial and spring impact donor reporting processes by creating and implementing an annual project plan to ensure timely completion, managing campus partnerships to obtain required information, and partnering with the Director of Donor Relations to conduct periodic fund audits
  • Manage annual stewardship of summer research and summer internship programs
  • Serve as lead contact for recognition activities, signage and when appropriate, event management, and oversee maintenance of the inventory of named and dedicated spaces on campus
  • Partner with the Associate Director of Donor Relations/Writer on developing and implementing digital engagement strategies to align with industry best practices, as well as student engagement
  • Serve as the primary advancement contact with the Office of Financial Aid regarding scholarship assignments and adherence to donor intent
  • Assist Director of Donor Relations with review of statements of understanding for adherence to gift acceptance, stewardship and donor recognition guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience in advancement/development or a related field is required
  • Proficient project management skills with a track record of taking projects from concept to completion, understanding process implications with the ability to identify gaps and/or areas of opportunity
  • Knowledge of fundraising database structures and relational databases
  • Excellent computer skills required

Additional Information: This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $53,000-$60,000. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The College also offers a competitive benefits package for full-time staff, including:
