Job Summary:

The Assistant Coach for Positional Players supports the Head Men's Soccer Coach by developing field players across all positions excluding goalkeeper. This includes planning team sessions, conducting individual instruction, and contributing to recruiting and scouting efforts.

Job Description:

Coaching and Training:

Organize and run training sessions focused on field player development (defenders, midfielders, forwards).
Provide individual and group instruction in technical and tactical areas.
Support the overall team strategy by aligning training sessions with team goals.

Game Day Support:

Assist with sideline management, positional adjustments, and tactical feedback for field players.
Collaborate with the Head Coach to implement match-day strategies and substitutions.
Conduct performance analysis and feedback for positional units.

Recruiting and Team Management:

Scout and recruit prospective field players.
Monitor academic progress and support the development of student-athletes.
Assist with managing team operations, gear, and supplies.

Administrative Tasks:

Record match statistics, playing time, and scouting reports.
Coordinate with athletic staff on scheduling, travel, and communications.
Participate in program planning and team events.

Other Duties:

Maintain current knowledge of coaching methodologies.
Ensure adherence to NJCAA, institutional, and team rules.
Contribute to an inclusive and positive team culture.

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience playing or coaching field positions.
In-depth knowledge of soccer strategy and positional responsibilities.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

Compensation:

$3,750.00/yearly stipend

Schedule:

Hours will vary based on the athletic calendar and departmental priorities.
