Job Description Summary
Leads, organizes, directs, supervises and administers all aspects of a Division I Men's Lacrosse program, ensuring compliance with all NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations. Recruit high-caliber student athletes, develop lacrosse skills and on-field strategies. Promote scholar-athlete welfare and provide appropriate mentoring. Raise financial resources for the program. make public appearances and address media. Hire and supervise staff.

Job Responsibilities

Recruit high-caliber student-athletes
Ability to communicate emphatically the value of Penn and Penn Lacrosse as well as the Ivy League
Develop lacrosse skills and on-field strategies
Promote scholar-athlete welfare and provides appropriate mentoring to scholar-athletes
Ensure highly functional and productive relationships with a range of departments and division across the university
Fundraise, communicate with alumni, make public appearances, embrace media interactions and campus/community building
Identify, hire, train, and evaluate team members
Responsible for budget development and management (in coordination with the administration)
Work within Divisional processes and protocols and contributing member to the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics as well as the broader Penn campus community
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Successful experience in coaching men's lacrosse as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach at the collegiate level preferred.
A thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with the rules, regulations and policies of NCAA.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with Collegiate recruiting, directing camps/clinics, and fundraising is required.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel nationally required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
