Job SummaryReporting to the Director of Campaign Marketing and Content Strategy, the Advancement Communications Content Manager is responsible for writing, editing and executing high-quality content that supports the College's fundraising, engagement and constituent relations efforts. This role is central to advancing the College's fundraising efforts, primarily by producing persuasive, on-brand materials across digital and print platforms.Executing within a clear strategic framework set by the Director, the Content Manager coordinates and implements content generation and engagement that enable the college to successfully meet fundraising targets. The Content Manager will contribute creative ideas and take ownership of producing and scheduling advancement communications content including, but not limited to: key HC Magazine stories about donors and the impact of their philanthropy and stories of student gratitude; talking points for Advancement; thought pieces; website content; and communications from the Vice President for Advancement and donor-focused messages from the President of the College. The Content Manager brings strong writing skills, fluency with communications channels and audience segments and project coordination capabilities to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Write compelling, brand-aligned content for Advancement communications, including donor stories, solicitations, event scripts, citations, newsletters, web copy, and campaign collateral.
  • Implement campaign and donor communications strategies through effective content development, adapting messages to target audiences and multiple channels.
  • Manage campaign-related content projects from planning through execution; maintain calendars, track timelines, and coordinate stakeholder input.
  • Draft materials for senior leadership, including speeches and high-profile donor-facing communications, under the guidance and editorial review of the Director.
  • Update and maintain Advancement web and digital content; support email marketing campaigns and integration of multimedia assets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Advancement and liaise with Marketing and Communications to ensure visual and message consistency.
  • Coordinate intern tasks and assist with quality control for all outgoing content.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in Advancement writing, specifically in a communications and marketing context.
  • Ability to synthesize and present ideas, information and storytelling multiple channels and audience segments, with specific expertise in the higher education context.
  • Strong writing skills and experience developing / managing integrated content across multiple channels, including print, web, social media and video.
  • Experience juggling multiple complex projects at once, project management and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in fundraising or higher education constituent relations.
  • Ability to work as positive and energetic member of a team. Self-starter and good relationship builder. A can-do spirit. Curious. Entrepreneurial.

Additional information:
This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $63,000-$71,000. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The College also offers a competitive benefits package for full-time staff, including:
  • 10% College contribution to the 403(b) Retirement Plan (1 year wait waiver available)
  • This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement - upon hire, candidates will need to live within commuting distance
