About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

This position is responsible for outreach, recruitment, and yield of top candidates for the Working Professional MBA programs (specifically OMBA and MBA Direct) ensuring Cox remains competitive and continues to grow and drive critical revenue for the school. This position will make outbound phone calls, as well as send texts and emails to prospective candidates to sell the Cox MBA. This individual will also help plan and run recruitment events to attract top candidates to the MBA programs at SMU Cox.

Essential Functions:

  • Candidate Outreach, Recruitment, and Follow-Up: Daily outreach via phone calls, texting, and email to prospective students in the Working Professional (specifically Online MBA and MBA Direct) programs.

  • Event Planning & Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute events for Online MBA and MBA Direct - coffee chats, information sessions, webinars, and yield events. Present to prospective candidates. Collaborate with Professional MBA and Executive MBA teams on joint admissions events.

  • Provide additional support to the broader Cox Graduate Admissions Team through other duties as assigned; examples which could include: marketing and communications, yield projects, student engagement oversight, competitive research of other MBA programs, etc.

  • Operational Excellence: Implement processes in Slate and other tools to streamline recruiting, events, candidate tracking, admissions, and yielding processes.

  • Position requires some evening or weekend work on occasion, for admissions related programming.

  • Occasional travel required for recruiting events.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is required.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience is required. Experience in sales or consultative sales is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication and presentation skills

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Candidate must possess strong customer service skills.

Candidate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

Candidate familiarity with Peoplesoft, CRM systems (e.g. Slate, Salesforce and/or other admissions software) and social media is a plus.
