Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for actively supporting the coordination and collection of institutional data for submission of internal and external surveys, state and federal reporting as well as in the compilation and formatting of data in the form of spreadsheets, graphs, and visualizations for other internal, external and ad hoc reporting. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.
Hiring Range
$20 to $24 per hour, based upon experience
Key Responsibilities
- Collects, prepares and disseminates demographic and other assorted data regarding the University of Hartford, its students and programs for a variety of reports and publications at the institutional and national level. Prepares and submits timely and accurate data for publishing. Collects, prepares and disseminates statistical information for institutional support and business review as necessary and/or appropriate.
- Assists in the collection and preparation of institutional data for higher level strategic planning, assessment and decision making. Utilizes various internal and external databases and data sources in an effort to provide comparable data for the University to assess institutional key performance indicators (KPI) and outcomes. Evaluates and/or makes recommendations to enhance data collection and reporting efforts.
- Maintains timely and accurate data on both internal systems and the Banner database in compliance with established institutional data integrity standards. Actively participates in the evaluation of existing business and technological processes in an effort to continuously improve operational effectiveness. Implements business process improvements, using technology as well as ongoing revitalization initiatives in support of the University's strategic goals.
- Participates in the research of higher education trends and the collection of data and other information pertaining to all operations of the University. Manages the Common Data Set (CDS) and the Institutional Effectiveness website. Handles highly sensitive information, maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters involving the University, its agents or employees that come to the attention of the incumbent through whatever means, except as publishable in carrying out specific enumerated responsibilities of the job.
