Pay Range: $18.21 - $21.00 hourly. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary

The UCCS Front of House Lead assists the Residential Manager in overseeing the operational aspects of the Residential Dining Halls. This includes coordinating student labor and schedules, training, and overall facility upkeep. The Front of House Lead must possess a spirit of hospitality and must practice service excellence. The Dining and Hospitality Services operating principles are respect, trust, and growth.

This position is designated as essential services. The ability and willingness to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Must be committed to student employment and professional development opportunities for students.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Assist the Residential Manager in all aspects of operations, maintenance, and service from the Residential Dining locations.
Assist the Residential Manager in coordination of student labor and schedules.
Train student employees in operational tasks in the Residential Dining Halls.
Greet and serve all customers with kindness and respect.
Clean and sanitize work and serving areas, seating areas, equipment, and utensils.
Restock displays and communicate to the Residential Manager any order or repair requirements.
Describe and have knowledge of menu items, suggest products, and answer customer questions.

Qualifications

Experience supporting or coordinating high volume food service operations is required.
Valid ServSafe and/or AllerTrain certification is preferred.
