The courses must be taught in accordance with current program approved course descriptions, course outlines, textbooks, and syllabi. Prepare lecture and lesson plans, teach lecture, lab and/or clinical portion of class, and respond to and grade student work. Use appropriate academic software (e.g. Canvas, PowerPoint, etc.)The instructor will be responsible for creating and distributing a course syllabus, teaching all scheduled classes, and responding to and evaluating student work.

Teach lab (clinic) portion of Nursing class.
Observe safety and liability limitation protocols.
Observe medical confidentiality or related protocols.
Prepare for classes and grade student work.
The instructor will be responsible for creating and distributing a course syllabus, teaching all scheduled classes, and responding to and evaluating student work.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with a major in Nursing.
- Licensed to practice in state of Illinois and at least two (2) years of tested clinical experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior college teaching experience.
Demonstrated professional learning or certification in evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practice such as ACUE, workshops and data use
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.

The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.
