Part-Time Administrative Assistant - TRIO
Campus Location: Lynn
Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours a week. Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 12:30pm or Tuesday - Friday; 8:30am - 1:30pm
Non-benefited, Grant-funded through August 31, 2025
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Assists in the oversight of activities and prioritization of tasks for the TRIO Program, ensuring all appropriate communication of services on each campus. This position is based on the Lynn campus with some assigned activities on the Danvers campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides front desk coverage; greets guests, answer calls, and schedules appointments as needed.
- Assists students with signing in and using TRIO computers, troubleshooting problems and helping them use mynorthshore, Navigate, and Blackboard
- Enters and monitors student data in Banner, Blumen and other databases to track program progress toward federal objectives.
- Assists with creating and updating applications, tracking forms and fliers; generating and preparing reports (including Annual Performance Report and Cognos reports); and maintaining and overseeing student files and records.
- Prepares, maintains and oversees student files and records
- Coordinates logistics for TRIO seminars on Lynn campus, including scheduling rooms and promotion
- Assists with logistics for TRIO/SSS events for Lynn &Danvers campuses including invitations, meal planning, room reservations, media requirements, supplies and attendee responses
- Prepares and monitors student sign-up sheets for tutors and TRIO activities then records them in Blumen.
- Places reminder calls to students regarding appointments and TRIO activities
- Monitors office inventory and equipment functionality; orders office supplies and places equipment servicing requests for both TRIO offices.
- Prepares requisitions for supplies, busses, travel, reimbursements and facilities requests, frequently communicating with outside vendors and other NSCC departments (such as Fiscal Affairs, Human Resources, Facilities, Academic Affairs, etc)
- Updates TRIO website; monitors and contributes to social media postings
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in related field; two years related experience in office management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, desktop publishing software, databases and social media platforms. Experience with Zoom, Banner and website design preferred.
- Student focused, with strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to commute to either campus as required
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations; experience working with TRIO eligible populations preferred.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

SALARY: $21.00/hour, non-benefited, grant-funded
