In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
Reporting directly and working under the general direction of the Senior Director of Operations & Space Planning the Space Planning Project Manager is responsible for providing project coordination and oversight in support of the Universitys Space Planning function. Primary duties include working closely with the Senior Director of Operations to monitor capital projects, track costs, and manage move and space requests. The individual will manage the Universitys space management software, ensuring accurate occupancy and space utilization through audits and updates. Collaboration with the Capital Projects Staff to maintain campus floor plans and space assignments is essential. Additionally, the role includes leading special initiatives, facilitating cross-functional teams, and representing the Office of Space Planning on various committees, as assigned by the Senior Director of Operations & Space Planning.

- Excellent Computer Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and ability to learn new software and technology quickly, including space management and scheduling systems.
- Verbal and Written Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders across all levels of the university, including leadership, team members, and external partners.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to independently assess situations, make informed decisions, and resolve complex problems related to space management and capital projects.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, organize resources, and meet deadlines for concurrent projects, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Ability to participate in and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collegial, collaborative, and proactive working environment that enhances teamwork and positive customer experiences.

Required Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Bachelors degree from an accredited academic institution in business administration or a closely related field.
- EXPERIENCE: An analytical thinker with 3+ years of experience in coordinating projects and conducting operational efficiency reviews, ideally within a higher education environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferences will be given to individuals with a Bachelors degree and knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, for preparing technical drawings.
Previous experience with space management software (preferred but not required; training will be provided).
