Boston University Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is seeking applicants with diverse skills and experiences to join our innovative and inclusive community. You will join as a Global Programs Functional Analyst and the Global Programs Service Component Manager where you will support and enhance applications that drive Boston University's Global Program Services. You will also lead functional requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation to support Global Programs (including International Student & Scholar Office, Study Abroad, and the Center for English Language & Orientation Programs).

As part of the IS&T Applications team, you will report to the Executive Director of Student Information Systems and work with the Global Programs and Enrollment and Student Administration teams.

You will:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand and prioritize requirements.
  • Analyze and document requirements and functional specifications for global programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and test functional solutions to meet our needs, applying expertise in global program operations and technology.
  • Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support global program operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage the Global Programs Service Component and ensure continual service improvement.

Required Skills

You will:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand and prioritize requirements.
  • Analyze and document requirements and functional specifications for global programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and test functional solutions to meet our needs, applying expertise in global program operations and technology.
  • Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support global program operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage the Global Programs Service Component and ensure continual service improvement.

You will have:
  • 5+ years of experience in a functional analyst or similar role, with a focus on global program operations and technology.
  • Proficient knowledge of global program operations, including process flows, data management, and system integrations.
  • Experience soliciting and documenting functional requirements.
  • Experience with analytical reporting, including data visualization and presentation.
  • Experience with technical architecture and system design principles.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience working with TerraDotta ISSS and Study Abroad modules, document management solutions (e.g. Highland OnBase), and Oracle Peoplesoft Campus Solutions is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with ITIL terminology and processes.
