Location
(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures football equipment is properly maintained according to established processes; tasks may include but are not limited to sewing, repair, etc.
2. Prepares team equipment for travel and accompanies the team for away games
3. Handles daily football team laundry ensuring proper cleaning and storage
4. Monitors football equipment inventory and purchases approved items as needed
5. Distributes and assigned equipment and apparel to players and staff
6. Oversees and provides guidance to assigned student assistants
7. Oversees the creation, processing and reconciliation of the assigned budget
8. Monitors and updates the inventory system ensuring equipment is available
9. Assists with the maintenance and utilization of the sideline communication systems
Job Summary
Responsible for the procurement of equipment, supplies and services that meets the needs of the University and complies with regulatory guidelines, accepted procurement principles and University and Board of Regents (BOR) policies.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Investigates and develops sources of supply, final preparation of solicitation specifications, and issues RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's
2. Ensures all orders meets the needs of University and complies with regulatory guidelines, accepted procurement principles of University and BOR policies
3. Reviews, scrutinizes, summarizes, and evaluates quotations and proposals
4. Reviews, analyzes and determines appropriate method of procurement
5. Authorizes and issues contract awards
6. Monitors customer satisfaction regarding goods and services received for the purpose of improving the quality of services and products purchased
7. Interacts with vendors and suppliers to expedite open purchase orders, and/or P-Card orders and provides for the accurate and timely delivery of product or services
8. Assists in resolving any billing discrepancies associated orders
9. Coordinates the resolution of purchase order payment issues with Accounts Payable, as needed
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Certified by Athletic Equipment Managers Association or the ability to obtain certification within one (1) year of employment date
Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in supply chain, materials management and/or purchasing
Experience in SportSoft or ACS software or similar inventory software required
Previous experience in university athletics
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Understands the BOR's regulatory guidelines, accepted procurement principles and policies
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Proficient with inventory software such as SportSoft, ACS, or similar software
Seeks opportunities for continuous learning
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
