(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Plays a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and securing talented student-athletes to join the university's football program. Strategically plans, manages, and executes recruitment efforts. Builds and maintains effective relationship-building, meticulous evaluation processes, and adherence to NCAA, conference, and university regulations. Ensures the recruitment process aligns with the university's values and standards, while also providing prospective student-athletes with a comprehensive understanding of the academic, community, and athletic opportunities available at Kennesaw State University. Contributes directly to the success and competitiveness of the team.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops, executes, and manages a comprehensive recruitment strategy in collaboration with the head coach and coaching staff, identifies target regions, high schools, and prospects that align with the program's goals and academic standards at Kennesaw State University
2. Manages and executes all recruiting efforts, including official and unofficial campus visits, and game day recruiting programming
3. Identifies emerging talent and trends within the recruiting landscape, keeping abreast of developments in high school football, college commitments, and transfer portal activity
4. Responsible for the creation, execution, and maintenance of the twelve (12) months recruiting calendar including mail, video, graphics, social and creative media, and any other means of recruiting
5. Serves as the primary point of contact for prospects and their families throughout the recruiting process, providing information, guidance, and support as needed
6. Coordinates and executes all aspects of on-campus visits for prospective student-athletes, including scheduling meetings with coaches, academic advisors, and campus tours
7. Ensures that visits are tailored to showcase the unique strengths and opportunities available at Kennesaw State University
8. Educates coaching staff, prospects, and their families on relevant regulations, rules and guidelines to maintain the integrity of the recruiting process
9. Maintains creditable and accurate records of recruiting activities, including contact logs, prospect evaluations, and/or scholarship offers
10. Utilizes recruiting software and databases to track prospects, monitor progress, and generate and analyze data reports for coaching staff, administrative, and leadership purposes
11. Organizes and participates in recruiting events such as camps, showcases, and official visits
12. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that events are well-coordinated and provide meaningful experiences for prospects, families, and coaches
13. Directs, guides, and mentor's student interns and/or student staff on duties and responsibilities related to recruiting prospective student-athletes
14. Assists department leaders with the management and monitoring of the sport program's recruiting budget

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in college football recruiting, preferably at the NCAA Division I level
Proficiency in recruiting software and data management tools

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Passion for college football and a commitment to the student-athlete experience
Able to build and maintain relationships with high school coaches, club coaches, and other influential figures within the football community
Stays up to date on NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to recruiting activities, ensuring full compliance at all times
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruiting activities

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, recruiting software and databases)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
