Job Summary
Oversees assigned staff, student assistants and operations within the assigned retail and/or residential dining operations on a specific campus and/or location, which may include oversight of both front and back of the house operations. Assists managers with scheduling, team development, and meeting budgetary goals.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides a dining experience that meets the lifestyle needs of students
2. Ensures the program provides exceptional food variety, quality, cleanliness and freshness
3. Assists and coordinates with maintenance and facilities to ensure the dining program has equipment that is well-maintained and functional at all times
4. Responsible for leading, supervising, training and development of assigned staff and/or student assistants
5. Assists leaders in managing expenses, generating revenue and the overall financial success of the assigned program and/or location
6. Assists management in implementing new culinary programs and promotions in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
One (1) year of supervisory experience in a food service establishment
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Manager ServSafe Certified
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Degree or certification from a culinary arts or hospitality program
Preferred Experience
Experience in a Higher Education food service establishment
Leadership and/or training experience in a food service establishment
Proposed Salary

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of and Proficient in HAACP Standards
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Point of Sales systems)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
