Job Summary:
The Center for Bioethics and Humanities (CBH) at the University of Colorado is seeking to hire a Post-doctoral Research Fellow. Start date is flexible (as early as January 2025). The fellowship is guaranteed for one year with the expectation of a second year of funding, contingent on review. While the position does not include a faculty appointment, a successful fellow may be considered for a faculty appointment upon completion of the fellowship. The stipend is competitive and benefits are provided. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who will contribute to the diversity of CBH and University of Colorado.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Complete a research-intensive Masters Level program that will provide instruction in health services research methods
- Participate in existing funded grants
- Develop and write an application for a K award
- Engage in multidisciplinary scholarly activities consistent with the mission of the CBH and the University of Colorado
- Prepare and present your current and future research in high impact journals and at conferences
- Participate in the group's academic and operational meetings
Work Location:
Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- PhD, MD or JD or equivalent doctorate with a focus on ethics, theology, epidemiology, health policy, public policy, public health, health services research, rehabilitation sciences, or other relevant fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in ethics
- PhD in ethics
- Theological ethics experience and/or background
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience or interest in bioethics, theology, healthcare, health services research, and dissemination and implementation sciences
- Track record of publications in medical/ethics journals
- Interest in exploring the impact of the corporatization on medicine in the US
- Expertise in working through problems systematically and cooperatively with colleagues and implementing agreed solutions
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to contributing to a diverse and equitable community
- Demonstrated ability to work both in person and remotely on multi-disciplinary teams

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$90,000
The above salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
