Primary Purpose of Position:
The assistant coach is responsible for assisting and supporting the Head Women's Basketball Coach in conducting the individual activities (recruiting, fund raising, scouting, summer camps, practice/game planning, etc.) of the Women's Basketball program and fulfilling other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.

Minimum Education/Experience:
A Bachelors Degree is required. Successful experience in coaching basketball as a head or assistant coach on the collegiate level or an equivalent combination and training that may include successful professional, high school or club coaching experience is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Evaluate basketball talent, scout opponents, assess game performance,
Develop game strategy, organize and implement practice plans
Physical Mobility: Reasonable physical fitness level necessary to carry out daily tasks
Computer skills, knowledge of audio visual equipment, play analysis
Supervising the mens basketball team during scheduled away competitions
Ability to demonstrate basketball skills
Able to travel and work extended hours
