The University of Cincinnati, Blue Ash College, located in Blue Ash, Ohio, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Communication Design, a tenure-track position in a NASAD accredited department offering associate degree and transfer programs in Graphic Communications and Studio Art.





The successful candidate will have the ability to teach first- and second-year studio courses in Foundations, Graphic and Web Design, and Typography. Other position responsibilities include pursuit of ongoing professional development and scholarly research, and participation in service to the department and institution.





Blue Ash College is a two-year, open admission, regional campus of the University of Cincinnati. It has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 6,100 students and a student/faculty ratio of 14:1. The college has 161 full-time faculty and 214 adjunct faculty and is located in Blue Ash, a northern suburb of Cincinnati. The Art & Visual Communication Department consists of six full-time faculty and its programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).  

Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.  

Minimum Qualifications:Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.  

Position Qualifications: Required qualifications include an MFA in Design (or equivalent) conferred by August 1, 2013.  

Ideal Qualifications: Significant professional experience in the Graphic Design or related industry.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile and experienced Design Educator with college teaching experience beyond the level of Graduate Assistant.
