Responsibilities
New York Institute of Technology seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant for the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Academic Medicine Scholars Program. This position will be working at our Long Island campus and reporting to the Director. The Academic Scholars program is a 1-year graduate program for advanced medical students pursuing an additional MS in Neuromusckuloskeletal sciences.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect, organize and process expense reports related to Scholar's travel to meetings, manage receipts and reimbursement forms.
- Manage calendar of Scholar courses and other events.
- Receive, organize and post materials for Scholar's courses.
- Reserve classrooms and conference rooms for Scholar classes, meetings, orientations and other related events.
- Collect, organize, upload Academic Scholar applications, and organize student interviews.
- Attend and record minutes for meetings related to Academic Medicine Scholars Programs
- Plan and organize the annual Academic Medicine Scholars dinner at DeSeversky center.
- Collect and organize research proposals and other course assignments for Academic Medicine Scholars.
- Collect and organize comments, evaluation forms, and other feedback from faculty concerning academic scholar performance in anatomy, omm labs and other teaching requirements that scholars perform.
- Manage, schedule, and organize other miscellanous tasks associated with administration of the Academic Medicine Scholars program
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Previous administrative experience needed.
Proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook.
Applicant must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and good communication skills.
