Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant 1 for the Campus Cafeteria. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position perform sales transactions in a timely fashion while providing a high level of customer service; interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints; accepts payments, processes refunds, and issues receipts to customers. This position will also be responsible for assigned change funds and cash receipts; tracking and reporting daily overages and shortages; prepares daily deposits; replenishes condiments, coffee and other beverages. Cleaning to include: washing dishes, clean-up of work area, tables and dining area, assist with general clean-up in all kitchen areas. Lastly, the Accounting Assistant will keep retail racks stocked and enters all sale items into the cash register to sure purchases are accurately recorded.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical accounting experience which must have included duties such as coding documents to distribute funds; preparing accounts payable and accounts receivable documents and balancing accounts; and using computer spreadsheets to record, track organize and report data; OR one year of experience as an Accounting Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Schedule
Anticipated to work 30 - 40 hours per week but shift and hours may vary depending on the busyness of the cafe.
Cafe is open from 7am - 7pm.
