Job Description Summary:

THE POSITION WILL ALLOW FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE AFTER SIX MONTHS.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the research development team by managing limited submission opportunities, communicating funding opportunities, preparing templates for common proposal sections, preparing project management templates, coordinating events and similar tasks.



Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall support for the research initiatives and development team:

* Maintain the team's file management system* Logistics of scheduling and supporting complex meetings (e.g with more than 2-3 participants from outside of the division of research)* Maintain tracking of team metrics under new Budget Model and work with AVP on an annual report for the team's activities

Research Development Work:

* InfoReady: primary manager of limited submission and internal funding competitions in InfoReady.o Maintain a calendar of limited submission opportunities, create the competitions in info ready, manage and reply to inquiries from applicants and reviewers, produce reports to assist the limited submission review decision.o Together with the director of research development, liaise with the faculty subcommittee on research for management of internal seed funding programs.

* RESRCH-L listserv:

o Weekly funding opportunities newsletter o Research community announcements o Maintain accuracy of the list serve recipients o Provide periodic reports to leadership on open and click rateso Develop and implement process for communicating strategic opportunities to researchers o Develop templates for common sections of proposals and regularly update templates o Develop proposal development project management templates for proposals the research development team is supporting o Maintain organization of appropriations request materials.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications and event support:

* Web page editing backup person.* Assist AVP of research initiatives with developing government relations communicationsPerform other duties as assigned.

LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Personal computers, printers; high speed internet; word processing and spreadsheet software.
