The Campus Tour Coordinator plays a vital role in shaping the experience of prospective students and guests at UVU by managing campus tours that highlight the university's academic excellence and vibrant campus life. Working collaboratively with departments across campus, this position ensures that every visit is informative, welcoming, and memorable.
As a key member of the admissions and recruitment team, the Campus Tour Coordinator also leads the training and professional development of tour guides, fosters strong partnerships with campus stakeholders, and continuously refines tour programs through data-informed improvements. Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and continuously improve all campus tours, including daily, group, specialty, VIP, virtual, and self-guided tours. Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with recruitment and enrollment goals. Develop and implement marketing strategies to boost participation and enhance visitor experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all campus tour inquiries from prospective students, families, and university partners. Represent UVU professionally, providing timely, accurate, and engaging information to all stakeholders.
- Train and mentor campus tour guides to ensure they are knowledgeable, engaging, and capable of delivering consistent, high-quality tours. Conduct ongoing evaluations and provide feedback to improve performance and guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Campus Visit and Event Coordinator, Admissions Counselors, and other campus partners to support recruitment events, special visit programs, and overall engagement with prospective students.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in tour coordination, event planning, or customer service.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Campus visits or tour programs.
- Skilled in training student staff and marketing outreach.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Utah Valley University's programs, campus culture, and admissions practices.
- Familiarity with campus tour operations and visitor experience best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with university software applications and CRMS.
- Understanding of marketing and communication tools to promote campus tours.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Creative problem-solver with a customer service mindset focused on delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop innovative tour content and marketing strategies to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Able to manage multiple tour programs and projects simultaneously, coordinating effectively across departments.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced university environment with varying populations.
- Skilled at public speaking with prospective audiences and at training and mentoring student tour guides to ensure consistent, high-quality presentations.
- Capable of presenting clear, accurate information to groups of varying sizes and backgrounds.
