Description
Georgetown University Law Center seeks to hire a full-time faculty member to teach in its first-year Legal Practice Program. The position starts July 1, 2026. The faculty member will teach two sections of Legal Practice. Each section has approximately 23-25 students and meets two hours per week. Legal Practice Faculty at Georgetown also teach a two-hour weekly seminar with six law fellows, upper-level students who serve as teaching assistants for the first-year students. Professors are responsible for selecting their own texts, designing course materials, assigning student grades, and supervising law fellows.


Qualifications
Candidates must have superior academic records and expertise in legal research, writing, and analysis. Three years of professional experience beyond law school and teaching experience is strongly preferred.

The projected salary pay range for this position is $90,000 - $119,999, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
