Job Summary:

The Testing Coordinator handles the administration of all testing services, including administering tests in compliance with a variety of testing rules and regulations, scoring and reporting test results, scheduling testing and staff for proctoring, maintaining test security and records, and other related responsibilities. The manager supervises, evaluates, trains and schedules all testing employees at the Lakeshore Campus.

Job Description:

Personnel Management: 10%
  • Manages, supervises, plans, and coordinates testing services at the Lakeshore Campus and extension sites.
  • Supervises, conducts staff training, evaluation and informs staff of overall college communications.
  • Handles and resolves customer service and staff issues and reports them to Manager, Testing Centers as appropriate.
  • Communicates and interacts with staff, faculty, external testing services, community partners and others to ensure effective and efficient delivery of testing services.

Project and Process Management: 65%
  • Maintains test security, records and confidentiality of testing, student, and examinee information.
  • Acts as Pearson Vue Center, HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) administrator, and Act Work Keys administrator.
  • Coordinates testing services for students requiring accommodations in conjunction with the Access and Disability Resource Center.
  • Develops and maintains training and operations manuals for testing services provided.
  • Attends all trainings, certification programs, and professional development workshops necessary to ensure the appropriate, effective and efficient delivery and supervision of testing services.
  • Reports all data and statistics on the operations of the Testing Center to supervisors and other appropriate parties.
  • Markets and promotes testing services to students, community members and college staff through involvement in a variety of activities and programs.
  • Scores and reports test results as appropriate.
  • Supervises and maintains inventory of all supplies and materials for the Lakeshore campus.

Technology Support: 10%
  • Updates testing software and resolves technical and testing software issues with the Information Technology department and external technical support services.

Student/Customer Service: 10%
  • Interact with students, faculty and other stakeholders to address inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Resolve issues and concerns related to testing procedures and accommodations.

Other Duties: 5%
  • Represent Lakeshore Testing Center on various committees.
  • Serve as Safety Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years supervisory or program coordination experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience administering standardized exams
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, databases, or various testing software programs
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
