The School of Education seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to serve as a liaison to one of our partner school districts in our Educator Preparation Program. The individual hired for this position will serve the Office of Undergraduate Education in the capacity of a liaison between the university and assigned partner school district. The core function of this position is to build and maintain communication channels between the university and partner schools in support of field-based teacher preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALARY AND BEGINNING DATE: The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and professional experience. The anticipated date of appointment is August 1, 2025.
DEPARTMENT: The Office of Undergraduate Education in the School of Education supports students from initial inquiry through graduation, guiding them on their journey to becoming impactful educators. The office oversees educator preparation, including field-based experiences and clinical teaching, ensuring candidates are well-equipped for the classroom. In collaboration with academic advisors and faculty, the office provides personalized support to help students navigate their academic paths and grow in their calling as Christian educators. Additionally, the office leads strategic recruitment efforts to attract and engage future teachers who are committed to serving with excellence and purpose.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: Consistent with Baylor's mission to be a world-class institution dedicated to Christian principles and ideals, the qualifications for the position include:
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in education or a related field required; doctoral coursework or degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification and a minimum of 3-5 years of successful teaching experience in K-12 settings.
- Previous experience in teacher preparation, supervision, or partnership roles strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of clinical practice models in teacher education, including co-teaching, residency-based preparation, and mentorship.
- Familiarity with Texas teacher evaluation systems (e.g., T-TESS) and relevant assessment tools such as Tk20.
- Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with educators at all levels, including school leaders, mentor teachers, and university faculty.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, and responsiveness to school site needs.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
