Job Summary:

The Assistant Coach for Goaltenders supports the Head Men's Soccer Coach by overseeing all aspects of goalkeeper development, including training, performance analysis, and recruiting. This position works collaboratively within the coaching staff to ensure the holistic development of the goalkeeper unit.

Job Description:

Coaching and Training:

Lead all goalkeeper-specific training sessions and warmups.
Provide individualized instruction focused on goalkeeping fundamentals, technique, and decision-making.
Design and implement skill development plans tailored to goalkeeper performance improvement.

Game Day Support:

Develop and implement game strategies for goalkeepers.
Provide live tactical instruction and feedback to goalkeepers during matches.
Assist with post-game goalkeeper performance review and breakdown.

Recruiting and Team Management:

Identify and recruit prospective goalkeepers at the NJCAA level.
Maintain ongoing communication with goalkeeper recruits.
Support team operations and equipment needs related to goalkeeping.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain goalkeeper-specific training logs, film review, and performance data.
Assist with game-day logistics for the goalkeeper unit.
Participate in staff meetings and compliance training.

Other Duties:

Stay current on best practices in goalkeeper coaching and training methods.
Ensure compliance with NJCAA, institutional, and departmental guidelines.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.

Required Qualifications:

Goalkeeper-specific playing or coaching experience.
Technical knowledge of goalkeeping techniques and training.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

Compensation:

$3,750.00/yearly stipend

Schedule:

Hours will vary based on the athletic calendar and departmental priorities.
