Part-Time Clinical Instructor, Fundamentals of Nursing

Nurse Education Program, Health Professions and Human Services Division

Fall Semester 2025, 6:30 or 7:00 am to 11:30AM or 12:00 PM Thursdays and Fridays

Non-benefited, MCCC position

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
Instruct and supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
Instruct and supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes
Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
Complete formative and summative student evaluations
Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
Complete program and clinical orientation
Perform other duties associated with the position.

Job Requirements:

MA Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years full time nursing employment in the last 5 years. or Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years, BSN faculty must be matriculated in a graduate nursing program within one year of appointment with an expected graduation date within five years of the date of matriculation; or - obtain a current Nurse Education certification by a Board recognized certifying organization within three years of appointment. An earned Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Possesses a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
Evidence of competence in clinical area of Fundamentals & Medical Surgical Nursing
BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required.
Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
