About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

This position will develop and produce dynamic multimedia content (videos, photos, graphics) that showcase the team's culture, gameplay, and community involvement, collaborate with coaching staff and recruiting coordinators to create targeted content for prospective student-athletes and manage all aspects of content production, including planning, filming, editing, and post-production.

The position manages social media platforms, ensuring regular, engaging updates that highlight team successes and recruit highlights and analyzes content performance to refine strategies and maximize engagement with recruits and fans.

The Director of Creative Video and Recruiting Experience should stay updated on current trends in sports media, videography, and social media to keep content fresh and innovative.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and storyboard video shoots, including game footage, practice sessions, and team events.

  • Capture and edit highlight reels, behind-the-scenes footage, and recruit-focused content.

  • Design graphics for social media posts, banners, and recruitment materials.


  • Review analytics to gauge content effectiveness and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Schedule and coordinate shoots with players, coaches, and media teams.


  • Brainstorm new creative ideas to enhance the team's visual storytelling and recruit outreach.
  • Position requires regular evening and weekend work for night and weekend practices/games. Position requires travel to games as needed.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree is required.

A minimum of two years of work experience developing multimedia content is required. Experience with recruiting operations preferred; experience with graphic design desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills. Strong project management skills and a focus on attention to detail are essential.
