Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the Computer, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences Division-one with a focus in Programming, and one with a focus in Cybersecurity. Both roles offer an exciting opportunity to shape the future of their respective programs, foster student success, and collaborate with faculty and industry leaders to ensure curriculum alignment with workforce needs. While expertise in CIT or Cybersecurity is the focus, candidates may also have the opportunity to teach courses in Computer Science (CS), though this is not a requirement.

The Programming-focused position will involve teaching courses in programming, database management, networking, and IT essentials. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the CIT program and skills certificates, helping students develop the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to succeed in the rapidly evolving tech industry.

The Cybersecurity-focused position will involve teaching courses in network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud security, and risk management. The successful candidate will help shape the Cybersecurity program and related certifications, keeping pace with emerging security challenges and industry demands.

For both positions, responsibilities will include developing and revising curriculum, implementing innovative teaching methods, and supporting students through mentorship, academic advising, and student success initiatives. Faculty members will collaborate with industry partners to enhance student pathways, support program completion, and ensure career readiness. Active participation in research, grant writing, and industry collaborations is encouraged to advance each program.

These positions provide an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of IT and cybersecurity professionals while contributing to TMCC's mission of excellence in education and workforce development.
