The Center for Community Work and Learning (CWL) at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Associate Directorposition.
The Center for Community Work and Learning (CWL) facilitates meaningful community and civic engagement through course-based work, scholarship, and student employment; providing students with opportunities to practice critical and creative thinking, living out St. Kate's values of social justice and leadership. The Associate Director (AD) provides vision and direction to CWL's co-curricular work, bringing expertise in the fields of community and civic engagement, internships, and mentorship to advance the University's academic and community engagement mission. The AD oversees CWL student employment and leadership programs (over 100 student employees and 50+ faculty and community partner collaborators) and manages student co-curricular civic and voter engagement.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage three student employment programs: America Reads, Assistantship Mentoring Program, Community Leaders program (approx 70 students per semester)
- Develop and monitor budget across student employment programs
- Design and implement cohort-based professional development experiences
- Collaborate with and support community partners and St. Kate's faculty and staff to develop, maintain and strengthen student work programs
- Co-lead CWL strategy and operations with an emphasis on co-curricular programs
- Manage student civic engagement initiatives, connecting Community Work and Learning programs with campus-wide civic efforts
- As designated "campus votes" staff member, ensure university fulfills Minnesota State campus voting requirements
- Supervise professional staff and student coordinators in program support
Salary Range: $50,000 - $56,000

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
- Experience in campus-community collaboration, civic engagement, internships, experiential learning, or related field
- Experience working with and supporting diverse populations
- Experience in program management
- Experience with budget management
- Proficiency in technology and relevant software, including but not limited to: Gmail and Google drive (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms), Microsoft Word and Excel, social media platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Experience working in higher education and/or nonprofits
- Experience with design, coordination, and facilitation of professional development for student stakeholders
- Experience supervising student staff
