Job Summary:

The Crnic Institute is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a member of our administrative team. This will be an in-person part-time position, located at the Crnic Institute office on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Team Tasks:
  • Maintaining shared office space; especially for participant and clinical trial monitor visits
  • Keeping track of office supplies and coffee supplies inventory; creating lists and ordering supplies as needed
  • Attend and assist with Crnic Institute Events
    • Set up and clean up
    • Assisting at registration and welcoming guests
    • Receiving caterers and other event staff
  • Implement Crnic Institute Appreciation Program with support from the Global Down Syndrome Foundation
    • Send birthday cards or emails to employees and affiliates
    • Send thank you cards to speakers, visitors, staff, etc.
  • Integration with Global Down Syndrome Foundation training and projects
    • Professionalism
    • Computer skills
    • Networking with other Self Advocates
    • Volunteer skills for GLOBAL events such as Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show

Clinical Team Tasks:
  • Assist the clinical coordinators prep research packets / label tubes
  • Act as a research support 'navigator' for participants (attend visits to support the person with DS).
  • Complete training and obtaining height/weight for participants and running lab samples.
  • Attending community events as a research ambassador.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of relevant administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lived experience with Down syndrome
  • Enjoys networking and talking with people
  • Availability to attend events
  • Experience working with MS Word, Excel, Teams, Smartsheets, etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Knowledge of general office procedures, protocol, and professionalism; expert knowledge of Business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $18-$20/hour.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
