St. Catherine University and the Office of the Registrar invite applications for a full-time temporary Academic Information Specialist position focusing on student graduation.

The Office of the Registrar team values collaboration and prioritizes the student experience. We build relationships across campus to support student-centered approaches to higher education, creating the best possible student experience within policy parameters. This position manages the graduation application process, clears students for graduation, obtains degree major/minor completion from Academic Departments, confirms graduation eligibility, and awards degrees for the applicable parts of term every semester.

This position ensures that a high standard of professionalism and customer service is maintained on a daily basis. This position is actively involved in specific critical tasks that relate to student registration, attendance tracking, SIS testing, and record management for students at all levels, in addition to numerous other responsibilities.
Serves as a resource for other Registrar's Office staff, and shares responsibility with the other Academic Information Specialist for troubleshooting problems with students, faculty and staff members in other offices.
This position performs miscellaneous tasks and leads small projects assigned by the Registrar or Associate Registrars. Assists with data analysis and quarterly Banner testing.

Responsibilities include:
Graduation Management:
  • Process graduation application forms with strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate frequently with students regarding of status of their graduation application from the time the graduation application is submitted to the time of graduation.


Customer Service
  • Assist all constituencies in an efficient, professional, calm and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that all constituencies receive excellent, accurate and prompt service. Refer customers as needed to members of the Registrar's Office or other offices.
  • Answer all phone calls to front desk and respond to messages in a timely manner.
Attendance Tracking
  • Setup attendance tracking each term and part of term for the standard calendar.
  • Send initial email and manage College for Women attendance issues by working with faculty and dropping student no-shows.
  • Utilize excellent written and oral skills to instruct faculty who are unfamiliar with the attendance policy and processes necessary to comply with federal regulations.

Salary range: $40,000 - $43,000

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from institutionally accredited college
  • Intermediate-level experience with Excel spreadsheets and Word documents; including, but not limited to filtering, sorting, and mail merge functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families and communities.





Preferred Qualifications:
  • Banner or related SIS software experience
