Clinical Research Coordinator, National Capital Area - Georgetown University Medical Center

The Clinical Research Coordinator will serve as a primary research coordinator for activities related to the National Capital Area (NCA) Minority/Underserved NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC). The primary responsibility of this position is to:
  • Recruit patients to NCORP approved protocols under direct supervision of the NCORP Program Manager.
  • Perform work according to the study protocols, standard operating procedures, HIPAA, and human subject's protection guidelines.
  • Screen clinic schedules, obtaining informed consent on all eligible and interested participants, and registering/enrolling participants.
  • Administer study related questionnaires, biospecimen acquisition, delivery and shipment, data entry, and maintenance of records.
  • Oversee participant follow-up, fully documenting all procedures and conducting routine quality assurance checks.
  • Complete surveys and data requests from related to NCORP and participating in NCORP Webex Meetings, performing these functions in accordance with Georgetown University Medical Center's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.


Work Interactions

This position will report directly to the NCORP Program Manager.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in clinical research
  • Experience with interactive databases, Microsoft, and EHR systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$20.16 - $31.30

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
