The Program Assistant, Class Programs and Reunion Campaign (CPRC) position exists to support the Class Programs and Reunion Campaign Team's mission to increase engagement through fundraising, signature events, and class committee strategic support. The CPRC team works to identify opportunities to engage volunteers and donors to increase participation, strengthen alumni programming, and ensure consistent support to our classes. The Program Assistant manages all of the metrics and analysis for Reunion Weekend in order to advise and shape the implementation and planning for Reunion Weekend each year, but also to provide valuable insight from the class committee & ambassador perspectives on our programming. Additionally, this position is a crucial member of the team responsible for the majority of the conceptualization, planning, implementation, marketing, and analysis of the more than 90 reunion weekend events held annually. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage, analyze, track, and present semi-complex event analysis & metrics for Reunion Weekend, including attendance predictions, attrition rates, event guarantee metrics, survey deployment and analysis, email marketing open rate tracking, and beyond.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and present yearly reunion programming proposal with other members of the CPRC to CPRC leadership.
  • Manage and implement the execution of a multitude of reunion weekend events, including signature events, partner events, panels, and programs.
  • Coordinate and manage all marketing aspects of Reunion Weekend, including social media, website, and email marketing.
  • Liaise with on-campus departments to forge new partnerships and develop new events.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to the alumni, volunteers, donors, and staff, reaching out to the CPRC team via the alumni relations email account.


Work Interactions

This position reports to the Director of Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns. This individual will be using phone, written correspondence, and personal interactions that will occur with University staff as well as external constituents. The CPRC team establishes class fundraising goals, recruits and develops volunteers, identifies high potential donors, solicits leadership gifts, hosts world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engages alumni and students in fundraising for Georgetown.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in a development/fundraising environment with special events experience
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel, with strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with an ability to think creatively and innovatively and exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Extremely well organized and detail oriented, with ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and consistently meet all deadlines and goals
  • Willingness to assume responsibility for all aspects of specific programs ranging from overall oversight and management to detailed implementation and execution
  • Ability to initiate and complete projects and provide alumni support with little supervision, exercising good judgment, and a high quality of service standard
  • Comfort with understanding, analyzing, and explaining semi-complex metrics and analysis with a desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of Georgetown University
  • Professional and collegial demeanor and ability to exercise diplomacy, judgment and tact; trustworthiness in handling confidential matters
  • Experience working with customers and/or volunteers with the ability to handle confidential matters on a regular basis
  • Applicants should possess exemplary communication and time management skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and an interest in higher education or non-profit philanthropy
  • Familiarity with Facebook.com, twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms a plus

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$20.16 - $31.30

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
