What We Are Looking For
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research is seeking a full-time Administrative Associate who will directly support the Administrative Manager and Assistant to the Vice Provost for Research, as well as day-to-day operations of the unit. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and have strong skills in organization, time-management, and communication. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent follow-through, and work well in a team environment.
A high school diploma, three years of relevant work experience and an active Christian faith are required. An Associate's degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Provide administrative support to the OVPR Senior Leadership
- Maintain physical and digital records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with event planning and scheduling meetings, calendar management, and arrangement of travel.
- Receive incoming communication on behalf of leadership, review contents, determine importance, and summarize and/or distribute contents to appropriate staff.
- Assist with office management tasks including monitoring and coordinating supply orders related to equipment and facilities.
- Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
- Maintain discretion and the highest professional standards while working with confidential information.
- Partner with other department leaders, the Business Office and key campus contacts as needed.
- Comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
